FHL Week Prayer Celebration at University Park – 3pm TODAY!

Sunday, July 24th at 3p, University Park, Indianapolis

On Sunday, July 24th at 3p Central Indiana will experience an all-out celebration of God’s goodness to us. The 7th FHL Week Prayer Celebration will be held at University Park located at the intersection of Meridian St and Vermont Ave., Indianapolis. This celebration will include the traditional Shofar/trumpet blowing at 3p followed by praise and worship songs, worship dance, balloon release, ministry and prayers and many more.

He is the God of the Breakthrough. 1 Chro. 14:11, So David and his troops went up to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. “God did it!” David exclaimed. “He used me to burst through my enemies like a raging flood!” So they named that place Baal-perazim (which means “the Lord who bursts through”). - NLT

God is breaking down the walls of separation and building up the Unity in the Body of Christ. He is breaking through the barriers so we can demonstrate and proclaim the Kingdom of God here in our state, influencing everyone we come in contact with the unconditional love of Christ.

FHL Week 2011: Be A Citizen Reporter For FHL!

This year FHL is making available a new technology that allows everyday people to  report on live events.  People just like you!  Crowdmapping is a new technology being used around the world to bring real time information and news to everyday people like you and me.  Its our own channel to what’s going on with FHL as we cover the neighborhoods of  central Indiana in our Backyard Mission work!  Anyone with a smartphone, video cam, or a cellphone with Internet service can write a news story or film a video  interview or even send a podcast interview about our FHL Week 2011 this  year using this new technology.  So we are asking anyone who would like to be reporters for us to sign up for the training. Please register by July 10th and bring your video camera.  This training will teach you how to get great videos.  Then we ask that you use our FHL Week 2011 CrowdMap to post your citizen report just like a real reporter!   It’s really simple to use and its fun!

Hope to see you there!

What is Faith, Hope and Love Week?

John 17:23 (Jesus said)… “May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

And Luke 10:27 (Jesus said) “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.

FHL encourages the active participation of :

  • churches,
  • ministries,
  • businesses,
  • government and
  • education institutions

Why?

To serve God and people unconditionally. FHL is about people participating in joint effort to bridge the social, economic and spiritual gaps in our community. FHL uses volunteerism and various events as tools not only to serve but to open doors to relationships with others towards transformation of our city. We believe that transformation happens through transformed hearts, not through programs and events. The transformation of hearts happens “through prayers, our relationship with God and others.

Similar to short-term mission trips outside of our city or country, participants are encouraged to get involved with projects and services; to be flexible and to put people first before tasks. There are several “Family-Oriented” projects and services that are now being planned by the local area team leaders. No experience necessary and no passport is needed. You can be in a mission field with your loved ones and you do not need to spend lots of money.

FHL Week is “not just a week-long event”. It as a lifestyle of loving and serving God and others through unity and discipleship.

It is the hope and prayer of FHL to engage people to be active participants in the transformation of the community through their continued services in the community long after the week is over.
